Sofía and Ramiro, a self-taught dancer from Santiago, Chile, specialize in Lindy Hop and Authentic Solo Jazz.
Passionate about jazz culture in the broad sense, they study, teach and experience these African-American dances with great respect and appreciation for their roots and their history.
Technique is very important to them, but it is more the “crazy and fun” side of this dance that excites them the most.
They believe that swing dancing is a liberating activity as well as an opportunity for expression and creation, personal development and community building.
As dancers, they have performed on various stages (including jazz festivals, dance festivals and television appearances) and more recently began competing in competitions. As teachers, they have extensive experience in teaching Lindy hop, Authentic Solo Jazz and incidentally other swing dance styles.
